Polyammering, The Podcast

Let’s get this party started. Right?

Are you or someone you’re involved with in an ethically non-monogamous relationship? Then the Polyammering Podcast will not only be for you, it’ll be about you.

Many people who are thinking about opening up their relationship, or getting involved with a non-monogamous person for the first time find themselves looking for the perfect road map that doesn’t really exist. In our traditional mono-normative culture, we have depictions of what monogamy is “supposed” to look like everywhere we look….

But when it comes to depictions of healthy polyamory in our society, we don’t have quite so many. The result? People make a lot of mistakes that end up hurting other people and consequently tarnishing the image of what it means to be in ethically open relationships.

I know, because I was one of those “I’ll never date a polyamorous person again!” people, until I met someone that practiced polyamory in a way that was compatible with my monoamorous self.

Welcome to Polyammering, the Podcast! Our mission is to increase awareness and reduce judgement surrounding relationships that fall under the umbrella of ethical non-monogamy. We’ll do this through conversations with everyday people who want to share their happy stories. Each episode will be a celebration of the diverse ways we each approach our relationships, and a reminder that we’re not alone.

I hope you will join me each week as I speak to guests from around the world who share how they make their open relationship(s) work for them. We’ll hear their non-monogamy origin stories, find out a little more about their current relationship configurations, and get the scoop on what they’ve learned over the time they’ve been in actively non-monogamous relationships.

Our guests will be selected from a broad spectrum of ages, ethnicities, religions, sexualities, and genders. We’ll include monofolk in relationships with polyamorous folk, as well as Relationship Anarchists in relationships that defy labels. Some will have small children, some will have grown children, and some will have grandchildren. We’ll have big poly families all living under one roof, and solo polyfolk who only share space with their pets. We’ll even talk to some unpartnered polyfolk, and polyamorous couples who are actively seeking their next partners.

And yes, there will be many kink-friendly episodes where we talk about how polyamory works within the construct of a power exchange.
